Column A: Upon being told by her cardiologist that she shouldn't have Chinese food anymore:

"Not even if I order it without sodium gook-imate?"

Column M: Discussing my sister's and brother-in-law's preferences at their local Chinese buffet:

"Well, they like that grilled mongrel (Mongolian Grill)."

My mother is 71. She is smart and very funny. She's a voracious reader, but a terrible speller. She is funniest when she gets tongue-tied., which is often.

On his other blog Caliban's Revenge, Prospero occasionally talks about his mother. On Malaprop Mom, he will post the best of the things she says that crack him up.

And unless this is the blog that makes me millions (hahahahahahahahah...), she must never know it exists.

I love my mother as much as every child should love his or her mother. But she's just hilarious, both intentionally and not. I thought you might think so, too.
